1. Partnership - Software: Measurabl will integrate Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) data into Measurbl's software. As a result, investors will gain "more accurate benchmarking, stronger due diligence, and a more complete view of building performance," the organizations said.

2. Partnership - Software: Deloitte and Credibl are promoting SustainNextClimate Reporting -- a software platform that simplifies climate reporting for Australia clientele, the two companies said.

3. Amazon Power Purchase Agreement: Amazon plans to purchase solar power from Avangrid's new solar project, known as Oregon Trail Solar. The 57 MWdc (41 MWac) facility will be operational in 2027. Related: Amazon sustainability strategy timeline.

4. Financial Services - Net-Zero Banking Alliance Closes: The Net-Zero Banking Alliance will cease operations after losing many of its members amid U.S. regulatory scrutiny, Reuters reported. The alliance, launched in 2021, grew membership to 144 banks by 2024. But numerous alliance members departed the group amid antitrust scrutiny from the U.S. government.

5. Exit - Financial Services: M&G Chief Sustainability Officer Kathy Ryan has exited the company, according to International Financing Review. Her LinkedIn profile indicates that Ryan left the business sometime in October 2025. Ryan had joined M&G in 2023.

6. Exit - Financial Services: Deutsche Bank AG’s global head of ESG and sustainable finance for fixed income is leaving the bank, Bloomberg reported. Claire Coustar disclosed her departure on Linkedin. In a separate post, Deutsche Bank Chief Sustainability Officer Jorg Eigendorf said Esra Turk has been made global head of sustainable finance in investment banking, which is a newly created position, Bloomberg noted.

7. Tesla - Record Energy Deployments: Tesla deployed 12.5 GWh of energy storage products in Q3 of 2025, the company said. Tesla expects to announce quarterly financial results on October 22. Related: Tesla AI strategy timeline.

1. Australia - Energy Project Challenges: Australia’s multibillion-dollar plan to turn its tallest mountain range into a giant pumped-hydro battery faces new roadblocks due to mounting costs and missed productivity targets, Bloomberg reported.

2. Japan - Stargate Data Centers: Hitachi will partner with OpenAI to build Stargate data centers. The news surfaced shortly after OpenAI announced similar relationships with Samsung and SK. Existing Stargate partners include Oracle and SoftBank, among others. The overall Stargate effort diversifies OpenAI beyond its AI data center relationship with Microsoft.
