1. IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Executive Leadership: illumynt, formery CNE Direct, has promoted Chief Operating Officer Jörg Herbarth to CEO. He succeeds founder Paul Knight, who shifts to chairman. Illimynt provides global reverse supply chain solutions for OEMs, cloud providers and enterprises.

2. Partnership - AI Data Centers and Renewable Energy: Microsoft has signed a $6.2 billion deal with Aker and Nscale. The partnership involves renewable energy and European data centers. Nscale and Aker also are working with OpenAI to establish Stargate Norway -- a Northern Norway data center project that involves 100,000 Nvidia GPUs and renewable energy. 3. Partnership - Microsoft and Water Management: Shayp has launched 4Impact, a technology platform and funding program that allows buildings to monitor and manage water consumption. Key partners include Microsoft. Together, Shayp and Microsoft will assist 125 schools in Brussels and 500 schools and public buildings in Paris with water consumption management, Startups Magazine reported.

4. Partnership - Managed Services and Workplace Management Software: Unisys and Appspace are partnering to deliver a sustainable workplace solution. The effort involve Unisys managed services and Appspace workplace management software.

5. Consulting - Built Environments: Cardiff University has hired consulting firm Arcadis to decarbonize the university's Tower and Law School buildings.

6. Building Energy Management and AI Software: Trane Technologies has launched AI Control and ARIA, two technology solutions that improve smart building energy management and optimization. BrainBox AI, which Trane Technologies acquired in December 2024, developed both of the new smart building solutions.

1. Accelerator: Innovate UK's Global Incubator Programme members, including eight UK-based climate technology startups, participated in a cohort meeting in New York during September 2025. 2. Investment - AI Chips and Self-Driving Technology: Nvidia, the AI chip giant, plans to invest $500 million in the UK self-driving startup Wayve as part of a broader £2 billion ($2.7 billion) funding initiative to boost the UK's AI ecosystem, SeekingAlpha reported. The funding news surfaced amid U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to the UK.

3. Spin-Off and Potential IPO: British renewable-energy startup Octopus Energy is spinning off its artificial intelligence arm, Kraken, in what could create a stand-alone entity worth $15 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported.

4. Funding: Climate-tech venture firm VoLo Earth Ventures has raised $135 million for its second fund, succeeding in a tough fundraising and political environment, The Wall Street Journal reported.
