Sustainable IT Services News 19 November 2025: Tesla Robotaxi vs Amazon Zoox; DitchCarbon on AWS; MIT-GE Vernova Partnership; More

A. Sustainable IT Partnerships, Strategic Alliances and Strategies

1. Research - IT Services and Environmental Goals: Roughly 78% of integration-focused organizations highlight IT as a key enabler in achieving sustainability goals, leveraging data, automation, and AI for measurable impact, and 56% of IT teams now lead sustainability efforts beyond IT, up from 38% in 2024. 2. Carbon Accounting Software on AWS: DitchCarbon, a climate data platform for enterprise supply chains, is now available in the AWS Marketplace. DitchCarbon, founded in 2022, specializes in Scope 3 measurement and reduction. The company is based in London. Related: Amazon sustainability strategy and channel partner implications

3. Partnership - Quantum Computing and IT Services: NTT and OptQC are partnering to accelerate the market for optical quantum computing solutions, the two companies said. 4. Partnership - Energy Transition: MIT and GE Vernova launched the MIT-GE Vernova Energy and Climate Alliance in September 2025, MIT News reiterated. The collaboration strive to "advance research and education focused on accelerating the global energy transition," the report said.

5. Apple Watch - 3D Printing in Manufacturing: All Apple Watch Ultra 3 and titanium Apple Watch Series 11 cases as of 2025 are 3D-printed with 100% recycled aerospace-grade titanium powder, the company said. Related: Apple sustainability strategy and channel partner implications

6. IT Services and Infrastructure - Headquarters: Schneider Electric plans to establish a North American headquarters at Winthrop Center in Boston's financial district. Schneider Electric's global headquarters is in France.

7. Robotaxi Services: Tesla has obtained a permit to operate a ride-hailing service in Arizona. Separately, Amazon's Zoox will start giving free robotaxi rides through parts of San Francisco as it strives to challenge Waymo's early market lead. B. Sustainable IT Investments, Funding, Earnings and Business Launches

1. AI Bubble Concerns: Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said no company would be unscathed if the AI boom collapses, as soaring valuations and heavy investment in the sector fuel concerns of a bubble, Reuters reported.

2. Funding - AI Cloud Services: NVIDIA and Microsoft plan to invest up to $10 billion and up to $5 billion, respectively, in Anthropic. On the flip side, Anthropic has committed to purchase $30 billion in Azure compute capacity. 1. COP30 vs Trump: Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, the US federal government representative at COP30, has a message for conference attendees: When you’re facing President Donald Trump’s ire, don’t back down. (Source: Bloomberg)

2. COP30 - What Is BAM?: At the conference, civil society activists are wearing badges that read “Bam!” -- which indicates their support for the Belém Action Mechanism (Bam). Specifically, Bam is a proposal for states to drive action on a just transition towards a low-carbon economy. (Source: The Guardian)

3. COP30 Energy Transition Aspirations: Dozens of countries want the summit to deliver a road map away from fossil fuel use as its key outcome, setting the stage for a frantic few last days of talks. (Source: Bloomberg)
