4. Partnership - Electric Vehicle (EV) Truck Charging: Global industrial property specialist Goodman Group and heavy-duty electric truck developer Windrose Technology are partnering to deploy EV fast-charging infrastructure for heavy-duty trucks at Goodman properties. The effort will start with Goodman properties in China, before expanding to other regions.
5. Partnership - ESG Data: ESG Book's data solutions are now available through Arcesium's cloud-native technology. Through the new integration, Arcesium's and ESG Book's mutual clients can gain access to sustainability insights for security selection, portfolio management, and analytics the two companies said.
6. Partnership - HVAC Modernization: Cleantech integrator Ameresco has launched a large-scale energy efficiency project involving cooling, heating, and air quality solutions with Schaeffler Aerospace Canada Inc. The project will generate 1,180,000 kWh of electrical savings, as well as 29,650 m3 natural gas and 103 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions reduction, the two companies said.
7. Student Activism: University of Connecticut students are calling for UConn to describe how it plans to divest from fossil fuels and decarbonize the UConn campus, according to CT Mirror.

1. M&A - IT Consulting and Data Management: Devoteam has acquired Singularity Digital Enterprise, a data-focused IT consultancy in Portugal. Devoteam is a tech consulting firm specializing in cloud, cybersecurity, data, and sustainability. The company has more than 10,000 employees across EMEA. Sigularity has 60 data employees. The company has completed more than 200 projects for customers in Portugal. Sigularity's key partners include Microsoft.

C. Regional and Global Sustainability Policies and News
1. United States - Rhode Island Wind Power: Rhode Island Energy has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to secure an additional 1200 MW of offshore wind to help power the state's energy needs, Reuters reported. The 1200 MW RFP is Rhode Island's largest renewable energy solicitation, the report said.
2. United States - Hydrogen Hubs: U.S. President Joe Biden traveled to Philadelphia on October 13, 2023, to announce the recipients of $7 billion in federal grants across 16 states for the development of seven regional hydrogen hubs, advancing a key part of a plan to decarbonize the U.S. economy, Reuters reported.
3. Canada: A law passed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government to review major resource and infrastructure projects was largely struck down by Canada’s top court, which ruled the Trudeau Environment Law intrudes on the rights of provinces, Bloomberg reported.
4. European Union - COP28: EU countries' climate ministers meet today to decide the bloc's negotiating position for this year's COP28 summit -- but they are still split over some key issues, such as how hard to push for a global deal to phase out fossil fuel, Reuters reported.
5. United Kingdom: Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is being slammed by his climate advisers for making net zero harder to achieve in Britain after his recent policy retreats, Bloomberg reported. Sunak says he’s trying to protect consumers struggling with double-digit inflation, the report said.
6. Denmark - Funding: Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners closed two new funds at a combined €2 billion ($2.1 billion) to invest into producing clean fuels and financing renewables projects, Bloomberg reported.
7. South Africa : The country's central bank chief Lesetja Kganyago urged wealthy nations to meet commitments to share the cost of transitioning to a greener economy and not “hoard” vital climate change technology, Bloomberg reported.
