November 2023: HPE Sustainability Partnership
Partnership - AI and Cloud Services: A DarkByte partnership will roll out AI cloud services powered by renewable energy such as solar, batteries, hydro, and nanotech, the companies said. The relationship leverages Cray XD supercomputers, featuring NVIDIA H100 GPUs, to "provide the scale and performance required to support compute-intensive workloads such as AI, machine learning, and modeling and simulation workloads."
October 2023: Sustainability Strategy Milestones
Kyocera Document Solutions UK (KDUK) and HPE launched net zero workshops to help customers deploy and manage sustainable IT solutions. TD Synnex, the global technology distributor, also is involved in the workshops.
September 2023: Sustainability Strategy Milestones
HPE and Schneider Electric expanded their sustainability and IT services partnership to increasingly support Asia Pacific customers.

- Annual Report: The company released its annual Living Progress Report for fiscal year 2022.
- Scope 1 and 2 Emissions: In just two years, HPE’s operational (Scope 1 & 2) emissions decreased 21% from the company's 2020 baseline, toward a target of 70% in 2030.
- Renewable Energy: The company surpassed a 2025 target of sourcing 50% renewable electricity three years ahead of schedule.
- Scope 3 Emissions: In FY22, HPEE's overall Scope 3 emissions remained constant year-over-year despite a 2.6% increase in net revenue.
- Software: HPE previewed a sustainability dashboard and related services to help customers measure and reduce carbon footprints related to IT.
- SMB Sector: HPE Financial Services expanded a Force for Good financing program -- which rewards organizations that demonstrate a measurable commitment to sustainability.
2022: Sustainability Strategy Milestones
- December: HPE Technology Renewal Centers in 2022 processed roughly 3.6 million IT assets, remarketing 82% for a second life.
- December: Over the last three years, various HPEFS programs have returned over 3.1 million personal computers, 2.4 million servers and compute assets and close to 800,000 storage devices to active use.
- December: The company derived approximately $1.3 billion in net revenue contributed by customer sustainability engagements in FY 2022, a more than 400% increase over 2018, the company said.
- June: Ninety-six systems from the company made the Green 500 list of the world’s most energy efficient supercomputers, with Frontier coming in as Number One, the company said.
