Aldar Properties PJSC has named Faisal Falaknaz (pictured above) as group chief financial and sustainability officer (GCFSO). Falaknaz had been interim GCFSO since January 2023.

1. Business Focus and Scale: Aldar Properties PJSC is a real estate development, management and investment company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The company's focus includes residential communities, commercial buildings, and hospitality projects.
2. Sustainability Goals: By 2030, the company expects to achieve a 90% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions, and 45% reduction in scope 3 emissions intensity. The company expects to achieve a net-zero target across all operations by 2050. The Aldar Properties Sustainability Report for 2022 is here.
3. Faisal Falaknaz's Focus: Falaknaz oversees the group's finance, treasury, investor relations, strategy, digital services expertise, as well Aldar's sustainability framework and agenda. Earlier, he was CFO of Aldar Investment -- the company's core asset management business, which includes Aldar Investment Properties, Aldar Education, Aldar Hospitality, and Principal Investments. Falaknaz also was VP of global real estate investments at Mubadala Investment Company, where he deployed capital across the United States and and Europe.
