1. IT Services: Logicalis has launched a Sustainable IT solutions blueprint, which is designed to help customers embrace and maintain carbon efficient IT infrastructure.
2. Recycling - Cloud and Data Center Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services is opening a reverse logistics facility in Dublin, Ireland. An Amazon subsidiary -- known as Re:Cycle Reverse Logistics -- operates the facility.
3. Managed Network Services: Ericsson and Zain Group are expanding their partnership to build more energy-efficient networks. Among the milestones so far: Zain Bahrain has deployed the Ericsson Enclosure 6150 across 80 sites -- achieving a 50% reduction in carbon emissions.
4. Partnership - Climate Risk Forecasting: ESG Book and Zfolio have partnered to help customers assess, monitor, and report on climate-related financial risks more accurately, ESG News reported.
5. Nuclear Power: Google has partnered with Kairos Power to deploy small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs) to support its 24/7 carbon-free energy targets by 2035.
6. EV Charger Turbulence: Blink Charging has introduced special incentives to help Enel X EV charging station partners migrate to Blink infrastructure. Enel X plans to close its North American operations. Separately, Dutch charging infrastructure provider EVBox has to largely cease operations, Electrive reported.
7. Generative AI and Content - Cease and Desist: The New York Times has sent generative-AI startup Perplexity a “cease and desist” notice. The letter demands that Perplexity stop accessing and using its content, according to a copy of the letter reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
B. Sustainability M&A, Climate Tech Investments, Funding and Green IT Business Launches
1. Joint Venture - Data Centers: Aurum and DigitalNexus Partners are launching AuNex Datacenters, a joint venture focused on environmentally friendly data centers. The companies did not mention how much money they will devote to the venture.
2. M&A - Software and Renewable Energy Management: IBM has acquired Prescinto, a developer of asset performance management (APM) software for renewable energy systems. The software allows customers to track and monitor the performance of solar, wind and energy storage assets in near real-time; identify root causes for underperformance; and recommend actions to optimize generation, IBM said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
3. M&A - Supply Chain Management: Accenture has acquired Joshua Tree Group (JTG), a supply chain consulting firm specializing in distribution center performance. The deal will help Accenture to "design and build more autonomous supply chains, where AI-powered tools improve labor productivity, inventory management and customer fulfillment," the buyer said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

1. Germany: The German government has earmarked up to 2.8 billion euros ($3.1 billion) to support 15 industrial companies in their bid to decarbonize under its first round of "climate protection contracts", Reuters reported.
