A. Sustainable IT Partnerships, Strategic Alliances and Strategies

1. AI Giants Fail Supply Chain Sustainability: Seven in 10 AI giants received failing grades for their supply chain decarbonization efforts, according to Greenpeace. The grades included Apple (B), Google (C-), Microsoft (D-). Companies receiving an F grade included Amazon, AMD, Broadcom, Intel, Meta, Nvidia and Qualcomm, according to Euronews.

2. Partners of the Year - Cisco Systems: The networking company named NTT Data as its global sustainability partner of the year for 2025. Also, regional sustainability partners of the year included NTT Data for the Americas; Genesis Technology for Asia Pacific, Japan and China (APJC); VEM Sistemi for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa); Consist Software Solutions in Germany; Green Networks in MEA-TRC; KPN in EMEA North; VEM Sistemi in EMEA South; and BT Group in UK & Ireland Theater. 3. Partners of the Year - Transportation: Union Pacific Railroad recognized 16 customers and suppliers with its 2025 Sustainability Partner Awards. Technology-focused honorees included Capgemini, Concentrix, Schneider Electric, and WSP, among others.

4. AI and IT Services for Energy Sector: Infosys has developed an AI Agent for the energy sector. The agent leverages conversational AI to "transform real-time data into actionable insights, providing critical information, automating reports, and boosting safety, reliability, efficiency and decision-making," Infosys said. The agent leverages Infosys Topaz, Infosys Cobalt, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI in Foundry Models, and ChatGPT4o. It enhances operations by using conversational AI to transform real-time data into actionable insights, providing critical information, automating reports, and boosting safety, reliability, efficiency and decision-making.

6. Tesla AI Chip Factory?: Musk said Tesla probably will have to build "a gigantic chip fab" to make AI chips and publicly mused the EV maker could work with Intel, Reuters reported. Related: Tesla AI strategy.

7. Elon Musk Pay Package: Tesla shareholders approved a $1 trillion pay plan for CEO Elon Musk. Still, the pay package requires Tesla to hit aggressive financial goals -- though Musk can earn more than $50 billion by hitting several reasonably attainable goals, CNBC reported.

1. Potential xAI Investment: Tesla's board will continue to explore potential investments in xAI, a generative AI company that Musk is building to counter OpenAI, Anthropic and others, Business Insider reported.

Research - European Climate Action ROI: Roughly 17% of European companies say their climate action efforts have generated reduced costs, and 37% of European CEOs say the activities have increased revenues, PwC research found.
