1. New Chief Sustainability Officer: Northwestern Medicine has named Jeff Good as its first chief sustainability executive.
2. Leaders - IT Sustainability Services: A new Forrester Wave report identifies the leading IT sustainability service providers for Q3 of 2023.
3. Partnership - Consulting and Cloud: Sustainability consultancy ERM has joined the Google Cloud Partner Advantage Program as a service partner. Among the potential use cases: Google Earth Engine will allow ERM to "scale the use of earth observation data to address organizations’ most pressing sustainability imperatives including climate risk identification and management, and biodiversity and nature strategy," the companies said. 4. Partner Program - Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations: Nxu has launched an EV Charging Partner Program for the company's NxuOne Charging Network.
5. Partnership - ESG Software: Global IT consulting firm Capgemini has agreed to resell and implement Sustaira’s ESG software platform.
6. Partnership - Datacenters: Schneider Electric and Compass Datacenters have expanded their existing partnership to manufacture prefabricated modular data center solutions. The effort includes the integration of supply chains to "deliver finished goods more quickly, with predictability, and at a lower cost."
7. Help Wanted - Professional Services CEO: WSP is seeking a CEO for its United States operations. Current WSP USA Lewis (Lou) Cornell plans to retire in 2024. Cornell will "continue to oversee the US business until his retirement and is committed to facilitating a smooth transition," the company said.
8. Data Center: OVHcloud has launched its second data centre in Singapore. The deployment is the "most sustainable data centre in the Asia-Pacific region to date," OVHcloud asserts.
B. Sustainability M&A, Investments, Funding and Green IT Business Launches
1. Earnings Alert: Plug Power, a hydrogen and green energy specialist, announced a major revenue shortfall for its Q3 of 2023. Plug Power blamed the shortfall and earnings miss on "unprecedented supply challenges in the hydrogen network in North America." Plog Power's stock ($PLUG) fell about 32% on the news, according to SeekingAlpha.

1. COP28: The United States and European Union are leading a global push for COP28 to endorse the tripling of renewables and doubling of energy savings by the end of the decade, Bloomberg reported.
2. Canada: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s promised cap on emissions from Canada’s oil and gas sector is coming by the end of 2023, Bloomberg reported.
