1. New Chief Sustainability Officer: Evenness, an AI-powered infrastructure provider focused on sustainable design, has named Bhuva Shakti as a co-founder, member of the board, and fractional chief product and sustainability officer.
2. Hardware Lifecycle Management: HP unveiled a new Device Life Extension Service thatr maximizes device performance and the life of existing HP PCs. HP also introduced a Partner Certified Refurbishment program, and the company expanding its PC refurbishment program to the US. Details surfaced in this HP blog from Grant Hoffman, SVP & GM, HP Renew Solutions; and Marcos Razon, SVP & president, HP Lifecycle Services.
3. Data Centers - AI Software: Digital Realty has expanded Apollo, its in-house artificial intelligence (AI) platform, to Asia Pacific. This strategic move "aims to enhance energy efficiency across the company's global portfolio," Digital Realty said.
4. Partnership - Financial Services: Wells Fargo, Elemental Excelerator and the New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation (NYCEEC) have launched a debt financing program called Capital Access for Climate Innovators. The program was "created to pilot innovative lending and co-investing vehicles to catalyze climate technology projects with significant community benefits," the organizations said.
5. Executive Team - Energy Services: OEG Energy Group, a global offshore energy solutions business has made the following executive appointments: Joanne Barbour as group corporate development and M&A manager; Melanie Bruce as finance director for OEG Renewables; and Lisa Elrick as group sustainability manager.
6. Leadership - Solar Energy: Pfister Energy of New Jersey has promoted Doug Bagwill to COO and Sean Quin to chief strategy officer.
7. Partnership - Real Estate: BuildingMinds and GOLDBECK Sustainability Consulting are partnering to assist HANSAINVEST with ESG data-led insights and expert consulting services.
8. Partnership - Energy Services: EDP and Rondo Energy are partnering to promote "the supply of clean industrial heat, at a large-scale and with an affordable cost, powered by wind and sun," the two companies said.
9. Electric Vehicles: Rivian has paused construction of its $5 billion electric truck plant in Georgia, SeekingAlpha reported.
B. Sustainability M&A, Investments, Funding and Green IT Business Launches
1. Up for Sale?: Supply chain software maker E2open has announced a "strategic review" of the business, which essentially means the company is seeking potential buyout offers. Rumors about a potential E2open buyout first surfaced in October 2023.
2. Investment - AI, Robotics and Recycling: Amazon's Climate Pledge Fund has invested $7.7 million into Glacier, an artificial intelligence and robotics firm striving to reshape the recycling landscape, Hoodline reported.
4. Investment - Software: SolarEdge Technologies (SEDG) has invested in Ampeers Energy, a startup that develops software for decarbonizing multi-dwelling buildings. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. The companies will also partner to provide German and Austrian real estate companies with planning, implementation and financing options for solar and storage generation, tenant electricity billing solutions, EV charging infrastructure and new heating technologies.
5. M&A - Energy Consulting Services: Danos Group Holdings has acquired Performance Energy Services (PES) of Houma, Louisiana. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
6. M&A - Waste Management and Recycling: Blue Planet Environmental Solutions of Singapore has acquired Recycle Force Limited of the UK. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
7. M&A - Data Centers: T4 Group of New Zealand has acquired East Tamaki Data Centre assets from Kyndryl. The move "solidifies T4's commitment towards energy efficiency, sustainability, and enhancing resilience in New Zealand's data centre infrastructure," Data Center NEws reported.

C. Regional and Global Sustainability Policies and News
1. United States - Ohio Building Decarbonization: The City of Cincinnati and Green Umbrella are partnering with BlowPower to launch Cincy BlocMaps. The will leverage BlocMaps to "target and advance building decarbonization initiatives in the region in alignment with goals of the 2023 Green Cincinnati Plan," the city said.
2. United States - Oregon Right to Repair: A bill to ensure that Oregon consumers have the right to repair most electronics and appliances is on its way to the desk of Oregon’s govEernor, Resource Recycling reported.
3. Kenya - Data Centers: EcoCloud and G42 are partnering to build a Kenya-based data center powered by geothermal energy.
4. Australia - EV Policy: Â Tesla is quitting Australia's major auto lobby and resigning from its board, accusing the group of misleading consumers over the government's proposed fuel efficiency standards and the potential impact on car prices, Reuters reported.
