41. Engineering Consulting: Serco has acquired sustainability and engineering consultancy Climatize, which is based in the UAE. Climatize specializes in green building engineering and sustainability strategies. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
42. Consulting and Engineering Services: Tetra Tech has acquired LS Technologies, a provider of government technology and management consulting services. Tetra Tech specializes in water, environment and sustainable infrastructure services.
43. Electricity and Consulting:Â ABBÂ is acquiring SEAM Group, a provider of energized asset management and advisory services to clients across industrial and commercial building markets. ABBÂ specializes in technology, electrification and automation. The company has 105,000 employees. SEAM has roughly 250 employees and supports more than 1 million energized assets for over 800Â active clients operating across North America, EMEA and Asia. Key focus areas include commercial buildings, data centers, healthcare, manufacturing, and EV charging infrastructure. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
44. Environmental Consulting: Trace Associates has acquired XCG Consulting, an environmental science and engineering consulting firm based in southern Ontario with offices in Kitchener and Kingston. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
45. Environmental Services: Clean Harbors is acquiring HEPACO from Gryphon Investors for $400 million in cash. HEPACO provides specialized environmental and emergency response services in the Eastern United States. The deal's valuation is roughly 7.1X annual EBITDA based on expected post-acquisition synergies. The acquisition is expected to close in the first half of 2024.
46. Environmental Consulting:Â Alliance Technical Group has acquired ORTECH Consulting, a Canadian environmental, engineering, and science consulting firm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
47. ITAD and IT Services: Australian sustainable technology lifecycle management firm Greenbox Group has acquired sustainable technology firm Remark IT, CRN reported.
48. Waste Management: Blue Planet Environmental Solutions has acquired a majority stake in Mahindra Waste to Energy Solutions Limited (MWTESL), a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group. The deal will boost Blue Planet's sustainable energy production and waste management capabilities, the buyer said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition surfaced two months after Blue Planet raised $35 million in December 2023 to fund operations in India.
49. Recycling: LyondellBasell has acquired various mechanical recycling assets from PreZero, a global recycling and waste management service provider. The transaction includes leasing the processing facility in Jurupa Valley, Calif., which has a production capacity of approximately 50 million pounds per year for recycled materials, the buyer said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

50. Conference: SERI has acquired the E-Reuse conference, and will rebrand the event as the Electronics Sustainability Summit.
51. Media:  Looking Glass Labs is acquiring Bot Media Corp. for $765,000 in stock. The acquisition includes carbon.bot (CarbonBot) and climate.bot (ClimateBot). CarbonBot a digital platform that tracks news related to climate-focused companies and generates articles using AI, incorporating capabilities of ChatGPT. ClimateBot is a web-based digital tool offering a range of calculators to evaluate various environmental impacts, focusing on carbon footprint assessments, the buyer said.
