B. Software M&A
19. Smart Grid Software: Electric Power Engineers has acquired ENER-i.AI, a SaaS software provider that helps customers to plan, operate and design modern power grids. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
20. ESG and EHS Software: VelocityEHS has acquired Contractor Compliance, a Canadian-based enterprise safety and risk management software solution provider. VelocityEHS develops SaaS-based software for EHS & ESG use cases. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
21. Modeling Software: Synopsys has finalized terms to acquire Ansys for about $35 billion in cash and stock, Reuters reported. Rumors about the deal have swirled since December 2023.
22. Energy Management Software: Danfoss has acquired ENFOR’s district energy software. The acquired assets align with the Danfoss Leanheat suite of sustainable heating and cooling solutions -- which allow customers to optimize energy consumption and improve operational efficiency of district energy and buildings. Danfoss had been a minority shareholder in ENFOR since 2020. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
23. Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) Software: Badger Meter Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has acquired remote water monitoring hardware and software from Trimble. Badger Meter gains real-time monitoring hardware and software targeted at distributed data collection for applications in water, wastewater, stormwater and environmental water monitoring, the buyer said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
24. Maritime Software: ABB is acquiring the shipping business of DTN Europe and DTN Philippines. The deal expands ABB's maritime software for weather routing. ABB's business will now scale to support more than 5,000 connected maritime vessels. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
25. Automotive Software: Stellantis N.V. has acquired CloudMade, a software company focused on automotive solutions. The asset-centric acquisition involves cloud software, developer kits and 44 engineers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
26. Environmental Data Management: EVORA Global has acquired Metry, a platform for environmental data collection. EVORA gains data solutions for the global real estate and infrastructure investment industry.
27. M&A - Clean Energy: GWSO INC (Global Warming Solution Inc) has acquired AQST USA LLC. Together, the businesses will focus on space systems, advanced technologies, and clean energy solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

C. Electric Infrastructure, Power Storage and Building Energy Management (BEM)
28. EV Batteries: Komatsu America Corp. is acquiring American Battery Solutions, a battery manufacturer headquartered in Detroit, Michigan, The Manufacturer reported. The deal is designed to accelerate battery-powered electric vehicle (EV) development. Financial terms were not disclosed.
29. Private Equity and Solar Solutions: Trilantic Europe has acquired a 60% stake in Aerocompact Group, a supplier of solar mounting solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
30. Power Equipment: Hitachi Energy has acquired COET, a designer and manufacturer of power equipment for electric mobility, rail, and industry, based in the greater Milan area of Italy. COET will operate as a standalone business under its existing management team and retain all of its operations. COET has roughly 80 employees. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. 31. Battery Storage Systems: TotalEnergies is acquiring Kyron Energy, a battery storage system developer in Germany. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
32. Energy Management Systems: Flogas Britain Limited, part of the DCC Group, has acquired an energy management division from eEnergy. The initial purchase price is £29.1 million. Flogas may pay an additional £8 million to £10 million in late 2025 , depending on the division's financial performance.
33. Building Decarbonization: Lemay of Montreal has acquired Quebec-based Fusion Énergie, which specializes in energy management and optimization solutions for buildings. Lemay is backed by National Bank, the CDPQ and FTQ. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

D. Electric Vehicle and EV Charging Infrastructure M&A
34. M&A - Electric Vehicle (EV) Energy Efficiency: Intel has acquired Silicon Mobility, which develops semiconductor hardware and software that improve electric vehicle (EV) energy efficiency. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
35. Battery Technology: LionVolt of the Netherlands has acquired AMTE Power's Scotland business, Scottish Financial News reported. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
36. EV Charging Systems: Siemens AG has completed the acquisition of Heliox, a provider of DC fast charging solutions for eBus and eTruck fleets and passenger vehicles. Headquartered in the Netherlands, Heliox employs approximately 330 people. The M&A deal was announced in August 2023.
