Tata Consultancy Services, TÜV SÜD Partner for Asia Pacific Sustainability, Net Zero Projects

Tata Consultancy Services and TÜV SÜD PSB have partnered to help Asia Pacific customers in their carbon management and net zero journeys, the companies said.

The partnership combines TÜV SÜD’s expertise in assessing corporate climate change mitigation strategies while leveraging the TCS Zero Carbon Platform. That platform helps customers to set up a baseline and automate the collection of carbon-related data from internal and external sources such as vendors. The information collected will be assessed for reliability and accuracy by TÜV SÜD, the two firms said.

TCS offers more than 200 sustainability services and solutions to help customers address environmental, social and governance (ESG), the consulting firm said. Example solutions include:

• TCS Clever Energy -- which leverages IoT (Internet of Things), AI (artificial intelligence), machine learning and digital twins to help organizations reduce energy consumption, decrease associated carbon emissions and save energy costs in commercial and office buildings, retail stores, warehouses, and factories.
• TCS Envirozone -- which helps organizations to track and mitigate supplier-sourcing risks.
• TCS Intelligent Urban Exchange -- which cities and enterprises leverage data across organizations and their value chains to meet operational, sustainability, and resilience goals, TCS said.

As of February 2023, TCS had more than 613,000 consultants across 55 countries.

TÜV SÜD, meanwhile, has 25,000 employees across 1,000 locations worldwide. The company offers testing, inspection and certification solutions. Key areas of sustainability expertise include energy, mobility, green buildings and infrastructure, carbon management, and more.
