Salesforce Cloud Partner Xebia Embraces Net Zero Cloud Services
May 30, 2023 by Joe Panettieri
Xebia, a software engineering and IT consultancy company, will become the first Salesforce Net Zero Cloud implementation partner in India, and plans to "help businesses accelerate their sustainability goals."
Salesforce Net Zero Cloud is a sustainability management platform designed to help partners and customers manage their environmental footprint and track their progress to net zero. It tracks Scope 1, Scope 2, and the majority of Scope 3 emissions (see Scope 1-3 definitions here).
Xebia, founded in 2001, is based in Hilversum, Utrecht, the Netherlands. The company has operations worldwide -- including key offices in India and Atlanta, Georgia. Xebia had 2,840 employees listed on LinkedIn as of May 8, 2023. Xebia is "determined to become a net zero company across all its categories, divisions and companies."
The strategy will involve integrating Salesforce Net Zero Cloud with Tableau dashboards --which will allow Xebia to "visualize its sustainability data, discover trends, have access to transparent reporting and identify the most strategic areas for improvement," the IT consulting company said.
Xebia, Salesforce Net Zero Cloud Partnership: Executive Perspectives
In a prepared statement about the move, Xebia CEO Anand Sahay (pictured, top of page) said: “In today’s times, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is a crucial part of any organization’s Digital Transformation strategy. We are excited and elated to be the first implementors in this regard. We foresee the Net Zero cloud application to be a benchmark in the sustainability initiatives conducted by organizations across the world.”
Added Dev Natani, co-Founder of the Xebia Salesforce Practice: “As the world stands on the precipice of drastic climate changes, there is a rising awareness of climate change and sustainability across investors, regulators, consumers, and employees. One of the key agendas of the ESG initiative is to reduce an organization’s (and, an individual’s) carbon footprint by producing only as much of it as it can remove from the environment – thus, called ‘Net Zero’. To take a meaningful step towards becoming Net Zero, organizations must first start understanding and accounting the GHG emissions they currently produce and then come up with plans to reduce them by setting science-based targets and aligning their strategies with evolving regulatory standards like the GHGRP.”
Concluded Amarendra Kumar, VP and head of alliances at Salesforce India: "The Xebia (Appcino) and Salesforce partnership will help companies build data-driven intelligence into their sustainability strategy. With Salesforce Netzero Cloud, we can track, analyze and report environmental data around sustainability performance and compliance that drives the Netzero goals for any organization."
