Dozens of sustainability, green IT, climate tech and renewable energy conferences are scheduled for May 2024, according to our Global Sustainability Conference Calendar.
The key question: Which events should you attend to potentially meet with technology partners, chief sustainability officers (CSOs), green IT service providers, and ESG investors? Here are 10 (actually, make that 26) sustainability-related conferences and in-person events to note for May 2024. We've sorted them by date:
1. The Open Sustainability Policy Summit 2024 (May 2-3, Washington, D.C.): According to conference organizers: "This event will gather lawmakers, policymakers, electrical utility companies, auto makers, technology vendors, researchers, and end users of energy to discuss the challenges and opportunities for an open source model of building both technology and standards to drive the energy transition, with particular focus on how policy and regulation can support this collaborative approach and ensure communities are diverse and inclusive."
2. Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit 2024 (May 2, Cincinnati, Ohio): The event typically attracts 600 attendees.
3. WasteExpo 2024 (May 6-9, Las Vegas, Nevada): The conference typically attracts more than 14,000 attendees and over 600 exhibitors. A co-located event -- Waste360 Sustainability Talks -- also is planned.
4. Responsible Care and Sustainability Summit 2024 (May 6-9, Miami, Florida): The event is hosted by The American Chemistry Council.
5. Gartner Supply Chain Symposium Xpo 2024 (May 6-8, Orlando, Florida): The event typically attracts roughly 3,000 attendees. Key topics include innovation, visibility, talent and culture, cost optimization, risk management and sustainability.
6. ServiceNow Knowledge 2024 (May 7-9, Las Vegas, Nevada): ServiceNow is perhaps best known for its workflow automation and IT service management (ITSM) software. But the company also offers a ServiceNow ESG Management software program.
7. Proof of Green: The Future of Blockchain and Sustainability (May 7-8, Dubai): The event will cover how Blockchain and Sustainability influence ESG, Social Policies and Renewable Energy, according to the organizers.
8. VelocityEHS Accelerate User Conference 2024 (May 7-9, Austin, Texas): Conference tracks include (1) Safety, (2) Sustainability, (3) Resilience and (4) Strategic Gamechangers.
9. Black Innovation Alliance (BIA) Sustainability Summit (May 7-10, Miami, Florida).
10. CleanTech Forum 2024 Asia (May 7-8, Singapore): The event features "250+ leaders in the sustainable innovation ecosystem and high-quality networking opportunities," conference organizers assert.
