A. Sustainable IT Partnerships, Strategic Alliances and Strategies

1. Executive Leadership - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS): Eos Energy Enterprises has hired Jabil veteran John Mahaz as chief operating officer. Mahaz will lead the Eos operations, supply chain, and manufacturing strategies, the company said. Eos in July 2025 announced record quarterly revenue of $15.2 million, up 17x from the corresponding quarter in 2024, driven by increased production volumes. 

2. Lawsuit: Anthropic implored a court to pause a copyright lawsuit set for trial in December 2025 that could find the AI company liable for billions of dollars in damages for downloading troves of copyrighted books from online pirate libraries (Source: Bloomberg). B. Sustainable IT Investments, Funding, Earnings and Business Launches

1. ESG Software Business for Sale?: Rumors about private equity firm Thoma Bravo potentially selling ESG software provider Cority for roughly $2 billion surfaced in August 2024. We haven't heard the rumor since that time. But multiple readers searched our site for Cority business information over the past 24 hours or so. That makes us wonder: Is somebody quietly bidding to acquire Cority? Hmmm...

C. Regional and Global Sustainability Policies, Regulations and News

1. United States - Data Centers and Renewable Energy: The Data Center Coalition, which represents data center owners such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft, called on U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to uphold existing rules for wind and solar energy subsidies, saying they have enabled the industry to grow quickly and stay ahead of competition from China, Reuters reported.

2. United States - STBi Faces Scrutiny: A group of 23 U.S. State Attorneys General published a letter sent to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), demanding information about the organization and its members, citing concerns about potential violations of antitrust, consumer protection and other laws from participation in the net zero group, ESG Today reported.

3. Middle East - Data Centers: Oman Data Park (ODP), an MSP and data center operator, will leverage solar power for a Green Energy Data Center Strategy. Oman is a Middle East country that borders  borders Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen
