Cloud Data Centers and Server Equipment: Carnegie Mellon University, Microsoft and the University of Washington have developed a way to identify older components that can be re-used in servers without affecting operations, the IEEE reported. The re-used components, known as GreenSKUs, can run in Microsoft's Azure cloud service, the report noted.
