A. Sustainable Technology, Talent, Partnerships and Green IT Alliances
1. Data Center Convergence: WindCORES, a subsidiary of German renewable electricity company WestfalenWIND, operates data centers inside wind turbines located in a wind park in the Paderborn district in western Germany, which the company says makes the centers almost carbon neutral, CNN reported.
2. IT Services: Infosys has won the Sustainability Award for commercial services. The award is known as Deutsche Nachhaltigkeitspreis (DNP) or German Sustainability Prize.
3. IT Consulting: Deloitte is expanding its collaborations with MIT Sloan School of Management, NYU Stern Executive Education and Center for Sustainable Business, and Arizona State University. The effort is designed to "create a differentiated, integrated learning program." The goal is to help Deloitte professionals' "guide clients in identifying and engineering solutions to support what's good for their business, people and the planet," the firm said.
4. AI Alliance: IBM and Meta have launched the AI Alliance in collaboration with over 50 Founding Members and Collaborators. The participants are committed to open source AI strategies -- which are in stark contrast to Microsoft and Google AI strategies.
5. Generative AI: Keep an eye on Improvability AI, a "Generative AI improvement engine for sustainability."
6. Partnership - Energy Management:Â SCC is partnering with Grid Edge to offer its clients an energy management solutions that "help them reduce costs, improve sustainability, and meet their ESG goals across their commercial real estate," the company said.
7. Partnership - Construction: Betolar and Fujairah Concrete Products (FCP) have partnered to launch paving products made of low-carbon concrete. The products are based on the cement-free Geoprime solution developed by Betolar.
8. Manufacturing: Siemens and Intel are partnering to "collaborate on driving digitalization and sustainability of microelectronics manufacturing," the companies said.
9. Carbon Credits - Trading Concerns: Carbon credits issued under the Paris accord come with limited oversight as international trading ramps up, The Wall Street Journal reported.
10. Research: The multi-site energy services financing market will reach $68.7 billion in 2032, up from $6.6 billion in 2023. That's a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 29.7%, according to Guidehouse Insights.
B. Sustainability M&A, Investments, Funding and Green IT Business Launches

2. Funding: energyRe, an independent U.S. clean energy developer, has raised a $1.2 billion capital package to "support the expansion of its large-scale renewable energy portfolio comprising utility-scale transmission and storage, onshore wind and solar generation, and offshore wind," the organization said.
3. Investment: Generac Power Systems has made a minority investment in Wallbox, a provider of smart electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management solutions.
4. M&A: Yes Energy has acquired Anchor Power Solutions, a software provider focused on power market forecasting.
