2. Software Platform - ESG Investing: BuildESG has launched a software platform for limited partners. BuildRI provides limited partners with "visibility into the responsible investment and ESG processes, programs and policies of alternative investment managers," Build ESG said.
3. Building Decarbonization: WattCarbon debuted an energy transition marketplace, a "platform for leveraging building decarbonization as an explicit climate strategy," the company said.
4. Executive Leadership: EVgo, which develops a fast-charging network for electric vehicles (EV), has named Badar Khan to succeed Cathy Zoi as CEO in November 2023.
5. Talent: The American Clean Power Association (ACP) has hired Bahaa Seireg as senior director of energy storage. Seireg will lead policy and advocacy initiatives that promote energy storage deployment while engaging directly with stakeholders to advance the sector, ACP said.
6. Earnings - Energy Integrator: Quanta Services revenues were $5.05 billion in Q2 of 2023, up from $4.23 billion in Q2 of 2022. Moreover, net income was $165.9 million, up from $88 million in Q2 of 2022. Quanta Services designs, installs and repairs energy and communications infrastructure.
7. Earnings - Sustainable Mobility: Aptiv revenues were $5.2 billion in Q2 of 2023, up 28% from $4.06 billion in Q2 of 2022. Net income was $246 million, compared to a $72 million net loss in Q2 of 2022.
8. Earnings - Solar and Energy Storage Services: Sunrun revenue was $590.2 million in Q2 of 2023, up 1% from Q2 of 2022. Net loss was $340.7 million, which was larger than a $209.7 million net loss in Q2 of 2022.

1. Fund: LG Electronics and sustainable investing specialist Clearbrook are collaborating in NOVA Prime Fund -- a venture capital fund with a target of more than $100 million.
2. Fund: Breakthrough Energy Ventures, the prolific climate tech VC firm supported by Bill Gates, is in the process of raising its third fund, Breakthrough Energy Ventures III, Axois reported.
3. M&A: Morrow Sodali has acquired HXE Partners, an ESG strategy and implementation advisory firm. This is the third Morrow acquisition since private equity firm TPG acquired a majority stake in Morrow in April 2023.

D. Regional and Global Sustainability Policies and News
1. Global - Climate Disclosure Audits to Counter Greenwashing: A global body proposed its first set of comprehensive rules for auditing climate-related company disclosures in an anticipated move regulators have said is crucial for giving investors information free of greenwashing, Reuters reported.
2. U.S. Climate Policy: ClimateVoice, a nonprofit that aims to use corporate climate goals to influence climate policymaking, launched a campaign pushing tech companies including Amazon, Google, Microsoft and Meta to end their membership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, The Washington Post reported. The reason: ClimateVoice objects to the chamber's history of lobbying against major climate initiatives across Congress and the executive branch, the report said.
3. United Kingdom - Renewable Energy Subsidies: The UK may need to overhaul its renewable energy subsidy auctions to deliver on its net zero target, according to the head of utility SSE PLC, Bloomberg reported.
4. United Kingdom - ESG Investing: Investors in Britain have pulled more than 1 billion pounds ($1.3 billion) from environmental and social-focused funds since May 2023, as cash continues to flow into investments perceived as safe harbours such as bonds and money market funds, Reuters reported.
