NTT DATA and e-Magic have partnered to launch a sustainability application that leverages Microsoft Azure Digital Twins technology.
The solution, according to the three technology companies, allows customers to:
- Measure energy consumption to deliver real-time visibility across meters, sensors, systems, devices, ERP (enterprise resource planning) and more.
- Track their energy performance and leverage insights to reduce their carbon footprint.
- Move away from data siloes such as spreadsheets and disparate systems.
- Identity issues that waste energy.
- Perform preventive maintenance, minimize equipment downtime and prolong equipment lifetimes.
- March toward sustainability goals of an organization, including getting to carbon net-zero emission.
NTT Data is a global IT services and technology consulting firm. The company has been buying and selling various IT consulting assets over the past couple of years. Among the moves to watch: NTT Data is merging with its sister NTT services business. NTT Data's business generated about $30 billion annual revenues ahead of the NTT services merger.
Meanwhile, e-Magic provides expertise and software for the design, development, and integration of large scale industrial IoT and Azure Digital Twins solutions globally.
For its part, Microsoft Azure Digital Twins is an Internet of Things (IoT) platform that enables partners and customers to "create a digital representation of real-world things, places, business processes, and people."
