What Is HPE's Sustainability Strategy, And How Are Channel Partners Involved?
November 11, 2025 by Joe Panettieri
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) expects to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 -- a decade faster than previously expected -- according to a 2022 statement. Juniper Networks, which HPE acquired in July 2025, also has a 2040 net-zero goal.
The HPE journey toward net zero, led by Chief Sustainability Officer Monica Batchelder, involves multiple internal milestones along with new green IT tools and sustainable software developments for partners and customers.
In a prepared statement about the journey, HPE CEO Antonio Neri said in June 2023: “Sustainability is inextricably linked to every part of our business. At HPE, we have an opportunity and an obligation to help customers drive data-first modernization projects that are more accessible, responsible, inclusive, and sustainable. Our expertise in partnering throughout the lifecycle of our relationship with customers to help them achieve their sustainable IT objectives is a key reason why organizations choose HPE.”
