Green IT Services Market Forecast: Sustainability Opportunities Remain Strong

The market for green IT services will reach $34.83 billion by 2030 — up from $12.46 billion in 2021, according to Coherent Market Insights. That’s a 12.4% compound annual growth rate (CAGR), the report noted.

Two predictable forces are driving demand for green IT services. They include (1) rising environmental concerns and (2) growing regulatory focus on decreasing carbon footprints, the report said. Still, IT service providers (ITSPs) and consulting firms may find it difficult to find green IT-related budgets within their customer organizations, the report hinted.

Key providers that offer such services, according to the report, include: Accenture, Diligent (owner of Accuvio Sustainability Software), Cority Software, Dakota Software, Enablon (owned by Wolters Kluwer), IBM, Johnson Controls and SAP SE.
