AddSecure Group has acquired DigiComm Group, an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) service provider that also has digital waste management expertise. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
AddSecure, founded in 1979, is based in Stockholm, Sweden. The company, backed by roughly 1,000 employees, has MSP (managed IT services provider), communications and data transfer expertise. Key focus areas include smart IIoT systems that span alarms, grids, transport, rescue, and critical communications systems.
DigiComm, founded in 1987, is based in Meerbusch, Germany. The company specializes in 5G, 4G LTE, LoRA WAN, fiber optic and copper communication networks. DigiComm has 14 employees listed on LinkedIn as of November 2023 -- though we don't know actual headcount figures for the company.
The acquisition allows AddSecure to expand deeper into the DACH region. DACH is short for D (“Germany”), A (“Austria”) and CH (“Switzerland”). Moreover, the buyer sees DigiComm's digital waste management business as a new revenue opportunity. Additional sustainability-related opportunities include smart grid technologies and assisting energy transitions, the seller said.
In a prepared statement about the deal, AddSecure CEO Stefan Albertsson said: "We are delighted to welcome DigiComm Group to the AddSecure family. Their extensive knowledge and experience in critical infrastructure solutions complements our existing solutions portfolio. In addition, the acquisition enables us to continue our expansion in the DACH region where we will leverage DigiComm Group's established customer base and strong market presence."
Added Carl von Campe, CEO of DigiComm Group: "We are excited to join the AddSecure Group. This will enable us to accelerate our growth plans and provide our customers with an even broader range of innovative solutions. Together, we will continue to deliver exceptional value and service to our customers."
