1. Sustainable IT Market Growth Forecast: The global sustainable IT market is expected to reach $100.92 billion by 2032, up from $31.66 billion in 2025, according to Coherent Market Insights. That's an 18% compound annual growth rate (CAGR). Still, we question such bullish forecasts because they often lump in traditional hardware, software and cloud services revenues...
2. Data Centers: atNorth, a data center provider in the Nordics, released its 2024 Sustainability Report.
3. Partnership - Digital Advertising: Infolinks and Scope3 are partnering to help customers optimize digital ad campaign performnce while helping to minimize the environmental impact of such ads, the two companies said.
B. Sustainability M&A, Climate Tech Investments, Funding and Green IT Business Launches
1. Funding and Financing: SoftBank Group is seeking a loan of as much as $16.5 billion to help fund AI investments in the US, Bloomberg reported, in what would be its largest-ever borrowing denominated solely in dollars.
2. Funding - Renewable Energy: Aetherflux, a startup that wants to build a solar power grid in orbit, has raised $50 million. Index Ventures and Interlagos led the round. Robinhood Markets Co-founder Baiju Bhatt is leading Aetherflux. The startup expects to perform its first space demonstration in 2026.
3. Asset Sale?: KKR may sell Re Sustainability to Brookfield Asset Management, according to Deal Street Asia. Re Sustainability (formerly Ramky Enviro Engineers) is India's largest integrated waste management and environmental services firm, the report said.
4. Investment - Solar Infrastructure: European infrastructure investor AIP Management has committed about $500 million to solar developer Silicon Ranch, betting that increased demand for electricity in the U.S. will continue to lift the country’s renewable-energy industry, The Wall Street Journal reported.
5. M&A - Battery Technology: Enovix has acquired battery cell manufacturing assets from SolarEdge. The deal involves a manufacturing facility in South Korea. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
6. M&A - Circular IT Services: Basatne has acquired Cartlow, a circular technology firm that supports Middle East customers. Cartlow has "recirculated millions of electronic devices, significantly reducing e-waste and providing businesses with scalable, sustainable solutions," the company asserts. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
7. M&A - Environmental Services: ERM has acquired the environmental division of NewFields. The deal, now complete, was announced in January 2025. ERM gains expertise in such areas as environmental forensics, emerging contaminants, and human health impact and risk assessment. Moreover, the acquired business strengthens ERM’s data analytics, sediment management, marine sciences, hydrogeology, and groundwater modeling expertise, the buyer said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

1. United States - EV Charger Challenges: President Trump’s federal funding cuts are poised to slow down growth in the installation of electric-vehicle charging stations across the country, according to Vontier CEO Mark Morelli, Bloomberg reported.
2. United States - AI Data Centers on Federal Land: The Trump administration unveiled plans to use Energy Department land and resources to build data centers for AI applications, Bloomberg reported.
