Hello, Goodbye and Thank You

I'm seated in a Starbucks writing this blog. It's a familiar setting, having penned thousands of blogs from hundreds of Starbucks around the world. But this entry is quite different. It's a goodbye and a thank you.

When I launched Sustainable Tech Partner in early 2023, I was curious to see if or how managed IT service providers (MSPs) would extend their services toward energy monitoring, energy management, carbon reduction and more.

I suspect there are roughly 100,000+ VARs (value-added resellers), MSPs and IT consulting firms worldwide. But as of April 2026, I suspect fewer than 1,000 of those firms offer sustainable IT services. And I don't see the numbers climbing significantly anytime soon.

Meanwhile, my own life and focus have evolved quite a bit since Sustainable Tech Partner launched in early 2023. Among the developments to note:

• My wife and I are gradually shifting our personal lives from New York to Florida.
• We've launched Panettieri Villa LLC, a property management firm in Lady Lake, Florida. (Here's a look at Courtyard Villa One and Courtyard Villa Two, both of which are for rent in The Villages.)
• I've joined CyberFOX as a strategic advisor.
• I've continued my own angel investor activities at Channel Angels.

Roll all those developments together, and I'm spending far less time seated at a laptop and far more time outdoors working on rental properties, while also traveling to Tampa for some wonderful CyberFOX engagements.

Sustainable Tech Partner: What's Next?

So what's next for Sustainable Tech Partner? My best guess: I'll keep the site online as a courtesy to readers through the end of 2026. After that I'm not sure.

Where's Joe Panettieri?

Will I ever return to daily blogging or daily media? I'm mostly sure that season of my life is behind me. But I can't completely close the door...
