A. Sustainable IT Partnerships, Strategic Alliances and Strategies

1. IT Services and Software: SE Advisory Services, Schneider Electric’s global consulting practice, has launched Resource Advisor+, a platform for emissions and energy management, supply chain sustainability, climate risk, and sustainability reporting.

2. SMB Data Management: The World Economic Forum's Global Chief Operating, Supply Chain & Procurement Officers Community is working to "harmonize the environmental sustainability data request forms that SMEs receive from larger companies."

3. Amazon Energy Grid Policy: Amazon is "paying our full energy costs and is committed to ensuring our data centers don’t increase consumers’ electricity bills, and we've been clear that every major energy user should do the same," the company said in a statement. "We’re working with grid operators, utilities, and other partners to ensure the grid is prepared to meet future demand and that costs are not passed on to ratepayers." 4. OpenAI Energy Grid Policy: OpenAI said it will pay for the costs of developing energy-related infrastructure required by its Stargate data centers to address concerns the facilities may drive up consumers’ utility bills, Bloomberg reported.

5. Google Power Purchase Agreement: Google has signed a power purchase agrement (PPA) with Clearway Energy Group, Carbon Credits reported. The agreement involves nearly 1.2 gigawatts (GW) of carbon-free energy to power Google's data centers across the United States. 6. AI Software and Weather Forecasts: Microsoft is promoting Aurora, an AI model designed to help scientists better understand and predict Earth's weather, The Cool Down reported. Related: Microsoft sustainability strategy and channel partner implications.

7. SAP Perspectives: Five leadership actions will define how organizations can build true climate capabilities, according to Sophia Mendelsohn, chief sustainability and commercial officer at SAP.

8. Distributed Energy Resource Management (DERMs) for Agriculture: Yield Energy, formerly Polaris Energy Services, has launched Yield Edge DERMS, a distributed energy resource management system from farms. Yield Energy is striving to deliver "utility-grade grid services at scale."

9. Quantum Triggers Crypto Concerns: Christopher Wood, global head of equity strategy at Jefferies, removed a 10% allocation to Bitcoin from his model portfolio, citing fears that the advent of quantum computing could undermine the cryptocurrency.

10. Partnership: Water.org, Gap Inc., Amazon, Starbucks, and Ecolab have launched Get Blue, a "global initiative is designed to accelerate access to safe water and sanitation."

B. Sustainable IT Investments, Funding, Earnings and Business Launches

1. Funding - Software: Cloover of Germany has raised more than $1.2 billion to help European households cut emissions, Bloomberg reported. The company develops software that helps installers of rooftop solar, home batteries, heat pumps and other green residential technologies manage their business, while helping homeowners finance their purchases and optimize energy usage, the report said.

2. Accelerator: The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO) Venture Camp for 2026 includes an ESG track and a call for green startups, Korea Tech Desk reported. Related: List of 100+ sustainability accelerators and incubators.

3. Venture Fund: Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) has raised $690 million for the Allianz Credit Emerging Markets (ACE) fund. The fund will back businesses focused on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

C. Regional and Global Sustainability Policies, Regulations and News

1. United States - Energy Grid Prices: The White House and bipartisan governors are calling on PJM -- the biggest US grid operator -- to lower prices.

2. Saudi Arabia - Software Platform: Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Economy and Planning is beta testing the SUSTAIN Platform. The platform is an "AI-enabled matchmaking partnership network designed to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and accelerate the delivery of sustainable development initiatives," the ministry said.
