1. Partnership - AI Energy Management: PADO and VESSL together are developing a grid-aware MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) solution that "ensures heavy AI workloads are not only managed efficiently, but also are orchestrated to maximize compute usage while generating new revenue streams for data center operators." PADO, founded in 2025, develops power orchestration solutions for data centers, commercial and industrial facilities, and enterprise customers. VESSL, founded founded in 2020, simplifies machine learning operations (MLOps/LLMOps) for AI service developers and ML engineers, the company asserts.
2. IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Partnership: Datagroup and AFB of Germany have partnered on a reuse and recycling initiative over the past five years. Over that time, the partners handled 29 tons of IT hardware -- equivalent to roughly 42,000 devices -- with 70% reused and 30% recycled, the organizations said.

4. Executive Leadership: Deloitte UK has promoted Stuart West to head of sustainability. He previously was transformation director and sustainability team leader for North and South Europe. Earlier, West was net zero lead for the UK.
5. Carbon Credits: Under a 12-year agreement, Microsoft will purchase 2.85 million credits generated under the Carbon by Indigo program, Indigo's U.S.-based project, the companies said. Related: Microsoft sustainability strategy and channel partner implications.
6. AI Content Licensing Deals: Wikipedia has signed content licensing deals with AI companies including Amazon, Meta Platforms, Perplexity, Microsoft and France's Mistral AI, the Associated Press reported. Related: AI lawsuits, court decisions and judgments.

1. M&A Activity: Clean energy projects are poised for more M&A activity, Bloomberg reported. The context: Executives at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Brookfield Asset Management and Nuveen Infrastructure see potential for new project-level M&A as data centers and other industries offer new support for renewable energy, and with less uncertainty on energy policy, tariffs and interest rates than a year ago, the report said.
2. Accelerator: Thirteen companies have joined the LOréal accelerator program, known as L'AcceleratOR. Key IT names to know include Neutreeno, a startup that develops a "digital system to help companies calculate and cut emissions in their supply chains." 1. United States - Texas Data Center Challenges: The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is stretched thin, and can't effectively permit and enforce environmental regulations for data centers, according to a Houston Public Media report.
