2. Microsoft Questions Pending Data Center Regulations: Microsoft is lobbying for major changes to a Washington data center bill that's nearing a final vote, GeekWire reported.
3. Carbon Accounting Software: TrueCarbon, a Cirrus Nexus carbon accounting platform for AWS and Azure workloads, is now available in the Microsoft Marketplace. Related: Microsoft sustainability strategy and channel partner implications.
4. Partnership - IT Services and AI: NTT Global Data Centers (NTT GDC) has agreed to host and scale Turiyam AI's inference servers, Analytics India Magazine reported. 5. Partnership - IT Services and Carbon Accounting: United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has tapped Ernst & Young Advisory Services Bangladesh Limited (EY ASBL) to enhance UCB’s carbon accounting capabilities, the Khaborwala reported.
6. IT Recycling Marketplace: The The Mobility Marketplace has joined TERRA (The Electronics Reuse & Recycling Alliance) -- the world’s largest network of certified electronics reuse and recycling providers.
7. Leadership - IT Services: CTL Corp., an IT asset disposition (ITAD) service provider and Google Chromebook partner that serves schools, has hired New Seasons Market and PwC veteran Dan Rodgers as CFO.
B. Sustainable IT Investments, Acquisitions, Funding and More
1. M&A - IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Services: Echo Tech, backed by private equity firm Altered Capital, has acquired ITAD specialist BMS of New Zealand. Together, Echo and BMS repurpose over 150,000 IT assets for resale and process more than 4 million kilograms of electronic waste each year, the two companies said. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Echo Tech was previously known as Computer Recycling through 2024 or so. Related: List of ITAD mergers, acquisitions and private equity investments.
2. M&A - Carbon Accounting Software: XeleratedFifty has acquired Terrascope -- an enterprise carbon management and sustainability platform -- from Nupo Ventures (a wholly owned subsidiary of Olam Group). 3. M&A - Energy Services: Several major investors -- including BlackRock, EQT, CalPERS and Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) -- plan to acquire AES for an enterprise value of approximately $33.4 billion. Under the new ownership, AES will "drive long-term growth across its business units, including regulated electric utilities and competitive clean energy in the U.S. and critical energy infrastructure assets in Latin America," the companies said.
4. Data Center Financing: La Caisse will provide CAD 240 million in debt financing for a Cologix data centre in Montreal, Canada. The build-out focuses heavily on sustainability.

1. India - Talent and Training: 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) and IBM SkillsBuild have launched a Sustainability Experience Center at Delhi Public School Bengaluru North. The center will train young people on "sustainability awareness, climate literacy, and future-ready skills to tackle climate challenges," the organizations said.
