A. Sustainable IT, Talent, Partnerships and Green Tech Alliances

1. 2025 Predictions: Sustainable IT services will influence multiple IT industry trends in 2024, IDC predicted. Key trends to watch include cloud modernization for operationally efficient and sustainable IT outcomes; as well as sustainable AI frameworks that focus on "minimizing the environmental impact of artificial intelligence by addressing key elements such as energy efficiency, resource optimization and e-waste reduction," the researcher said.

2. Sustainable IT Devices: Alchemy, a circular technology company, announced revenues of $711 million for the financial year ending 31 March 2024, up 60% from the previous year. Alchemy traded more than 2.4 million devices in its fiscal year 2024, up from 700,000 devices the previous year. The company recovers, refreshes and remarkets smartphones, tables, laptops, wearable devices and more.

3. Microsoft AI Revenues: Microsoft's AI business is on track to surpass an annual revenue run rate of $10 billion next quarter, which will make it the fastest business in Microsoft's history to reach that milestone, CEO Satya Nadella said during the company's Q1 2025 earnings call.

4. Executive Leadership - Software: Measurabl, which develops ESG data management software for the real estate sector, has hired Edward Allen as its new chief revenue officer (CRO).

5. Executive Leaders - Consulting: WSP has hired William S. Haas as a senior vice president and national market leader for distributed energy and electrification, the global consulting firm said.

6. EV Charger Business Model: ChargePoint announced a cloud services plan that offers a "competitively priced software fee that is covered by driver payments for charging," the company said. "All revenue beyond this fee is remitted back to the station owner monthly, and activation of the stations is included under the Essentials plan at no extra charge."
