Mesh-AI -- a data and artificial intelligence consultancy -- has been named AWS Sustainability Partner of the Year. The honor surfaced during the AWS re:Invent 2023 conference in Las Vegas.
The award recognizes Mesh-AI's commitment to "helping our customers meet their sustainability goals while driving innovation through data, AI and AWS solutions," the consultancy said.
Mesh-AI, founded in 2021, is based in London, United Kingdom. The company is backed by Columbia Capital (Alexandria, Virginia), which committed $30 million to the AI consultancy during the business launch.
On the sustainability front, Mesh-AI points to multiple business and customer milestones. They include:
- Enabling a highly regulated energy organisation to leverage modern data practices to understand and drive profitability, respond to environmental factors with agility and drive market-wide change through regulatory RFIs and lobbying, the consultancy asserted.
- Reimagining regulatory reporting to reduce the required reporting time from five days to minutes, and reduce incident risk and frequency, with £MM cost saving implications, the consultancy said.

The award was one of several AWS sustainability news announcements that surfaced at the AWS re:Invent 2023 conference. At the corporate level, Amazon's overall sustainability strategy continues to press forward.
Sustainability Partners of the Year: Niche but Growing Trend
Meanwhile, roughly 110 technology, circular economy and renewable energy companies offer sustainability partner programs as of November 2023.
Some of those companies have introduced sustainability partner of the year awards. For example, Cisco Systems honored Logicalis and Microsoft honored nVisionIT, WPP and EY in 2023.
