Partnership - IT Services and ESG Software: Deloitte has expanded its alliances with Informatica and Workiva to "support clients as they build their environmental, social and governance (ESG) implementation and data management capabilities." The resulting reporting solution can "help clients accelerate ESG deployments and reporting with accurate, verifiable data to align to regulatory requirements empower agility," Deloitte said.

November 2023 - IBM Software Partnership: Deloitte and IBM are integrating their sustainability software to "help clients accelerate emissions reductions strategies and make sustainability programs an embedded part of their organization’s core business."
February 2023 - Networking Partnership: Joined the AT&T Connected Climate Initiative (CCI), which promotes connectivity-based solutions in a bid to “reduce greenhouse emissions by 1 gigaton by 2035,” the companies said.
January 2023 - Customer Contracts: Added a “sustainable delivery” clause – known as Clause Zero – in customer engagement letters and contracts starting in 2023, the global IT consulting firm said. Also of note: Unveiled GreenSpace Tech, an initiative spearheaded by entrepreneurs and climate specialists to scale climate technology solutions, the company said.

Consulting firms worldwide -- including Deloitte rivals such as Accenture, EY, KPMG and PwC -- continue to expand their sustainability business practices and associated software development.
Among the reasons: Global spending on sustainability business services will reach $65 billion in 2027, up from $37.7 billion in 2023, according to an IDC market forecast. That's a 14.9% CAGR (compound annual growth rate) during the forecast period, IDC said.
Moreover, the global green IT services market will reach $33.64 billion by 2031, up from $13.72 billion in 2022, according to Astute Analytical. That's a 10.48% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) during the forecast period, the company said.
