Wipro, ServiceNow Expand IT Consulting, Workflow Automation and ESG Partnership

Global IT consulting firm Wipro has expanded its partnership with workflow automation software provider ServiceNow. The effort increasingly involves ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) standards across such vertical markets as financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, energy and utilities.

The stakes are quite high for the partnership. Among the proof points: Wipro expects to generate roughly $1 billion in annual revenues within the ServiceNow consulting market by the end of 2026, the firm said. ServiceNow, by the way, has billion-dollar revenue target partnerships with multiple global IT consulting firms.

Wipro, based in Bengaluru, India, has more than 250,000 employees across 66 countries. Recent customer wins include Correla, a UK-based product development and managed service provider in the energy market. Correla in April 2023 selected vFunction and Wipro to modernize their suite of Gemini online applications, the firms said.

Wipro has been very vocal about its vertical market sustainability expertise. One example: In February 2023 blog, Wipro described how oil and gas companies can improve sustainability and reduce costs when extracting crude oil from wells.

Meanwhile, ServiceNow is best known for its IT service management (ITSM) software. But more recently, the software company has expanded into workflow automation across HR, financial, security and other business units. ServiceNow has also acquired its way into such software markets as Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

Moreover, ServiceNow positions its software as a platform that can help customers set up ESG command centers that converts goals into actions.
