1. Google - AI Chip Efficiency: Google's Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) hardware has delivered a 3x improvement in the carbon-efficiency of AI workloads, Google asserts.
2. IT Services - Business Expansion: 3stepIT, a provider of Circular Technology Services, is expanding from Europe to North America. 3stepIT, which specializes in sustainable IT lifecycle services, has 4 million devices under management.
3. Dell Partner Program Updates: Dell's latest partner program efforts include an energy efficiency calculator, messaging resources, an RFP portal tool, on-demand training and Product Carbon Footprint reporting, the company asserts. "We also refreshed our Sustainability Competency, launched last year, to help partners engage in valuable efficiency conversations with their customers," Dell said.
4. OpenAI Evaluates Stargate Data Center Locations: OpenAI is considering building data center campuses in 16 states that have indicated “real interest” in the Stargate project, CNBC reported. Stargate -- a joint venture that involves OpenAI, Oracle and SoftBank -- will allow OpenAI to expand beyond its dependence on Microsoft Azure data centers.

1. Startup Funding - ESG Software: Planted of Germany has raised €5 million in seed funding to develop ESG software that helps customers to simplify CSRD reporting, EU Startups reported. Key investors include TechVision Fonds, WENVEST Capital, neoteq ventures, AWS Gründungsfonds and Smart Infrastructure Ventures, the report said.

1. More CSRD Pushback: The American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union, whose members include Ford Motor Co., Exxon Mobil Corp. and Amazon.com Inc., is calling on the EU to delay and even halt major planks of its Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, Bloomberg reported.
2. United States - Government IT Consulting and DEI: Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corp., the massive U.S. government defense contractor, is ending its diversity, equity and inclusion programs, citing President Donald Trump’s executive order pressuring federal suppliers to cancel diversity practices, Bloomberg reported.
3. United States - Georgia Battery Plant Cancelled: Freyr Battery cancelled plans to build a $2.6 billion plant in Georgia that was supposed to hire more than 700 people, The Associated Press reported. Instead, the company is focusing on a solar module manufacturing facility in Texas.
4. China - Renewable Energy Policy: China's top economic planning agency plans to scale back subsidies for renewable energy projects after a boom in solar and wind power installations, Reuters reported.
