The integration "empowers organizations to seamlessly measure, manage, and mitigate carbon emissions through accessible, actionable, and financially sustainable solutions."
2. Software: ESG AIÂ has launched a self-titled software platform that help companies "take control of their sustainability journey without the need for costly consultants or in-house ESG teams." The platform, which costs $500 annually, "automates assessments, benchmarks ESG performance, identifies supplier risks, and generates tailored action plans, making compliance, risk mitigation, and ESG strategy accessible to everyone," ESG AI said.
3. Consulting: ESG Impact has launched ESG Prism, which provides customers with a two-month consulting engagement that includes a "tailored ESG strategy, comprehensive risk analysis, gap identification, and performance benchmarking." An ESG Prism engagement costs $4,999. ESG Impact is based in Australia.

Jeff Bezos Fund Ends SBTi Support: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ $10-billion Earth Fund has ended its support for the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the main verifier of corporate climate targets, the Financial Times reported and Bloomberg summarized. SBTi received criticism when it explored a potential carbon credit recognition plan in 2024. The criticism ultimately triggered an SBTi CEO transition.

1. United States - Washington Data Center Study: Washington Governor Bob Ferguson is forming a workgroup to explore the impact of data centers in the state. The executive order surfaces amid growing demand for AI data centers -- which has pressured energy suppliers nationwide. Amazon and Microsoft, among others, have a heavy data center presence in Washington. Under the executive order, the workgroup has until December 1 of 2025 to submit its findings and recommendations, GeekWire reported.

3. United States - Cancelling Clean Energy Loans?: The Trump administration is exploring legal options to cancel loans issued under a $400 billion program to finance clean-energy technology as it considers overhauling the initiative, Bloomberg reported.
4. United States - Clean Energy Funding: U.S. clean-energy companies are headed to Capitol Hill on February 5, 2025, to urge Republican lawmakers not to kill lucrative tax credits contained in former President Joe Biden's landmark climate change law, Reuters reported.
5. European Union - Climate Reporting Regulations: A group of sustainable finance experts have proposed changes to European Union rules for classifying climate-friendly activities, which they say will slash the reporting burden on companies by a third, Reuters reported.
6. Norway - Renewable Energy Challenges: Norway's Equinor is reducing its ambitions for developing renewable energy capacity by 2030, Reuters reported, the latest move by a European energy company to cut green targets as the market for renewables sours.
