1. Software - Multi-Cloud Carbon Footprint Monitoring: Dynatrace has launched the Carbon Impact app. The software allows customers and partners to gain "real-time insights into the carbon footprint of an organization’s Dynatrace-monitored hybrid and multicloud ecosystem," the company said.

3. Funding - Tech Sustainability: QiO Technologies, an AI sustainability tech start-up, has raised $10 million in Series B funding. The round was led by WAVE Equity Partners, an impact investment firm based in Boston, USA.
4. M&A - Recycling Services: BlackRock has acquired Environmental 360 Solutions Inc. (E360S) -- a provider of waste management, environmental, and recycling/circular economy services to over 30,000 Canadian municipal, commercial and industrial customers. E3360S CEO Donato (Danny) Ardellini continues to lead the company and retains a "significant ownership stake" in the business. The deal arrives amid some criticism of BlackRock's sustainability efforts. Indeed, BlackRock President Robert Kapito's remarks during a financial conference on February 16, 20223 were interrupted several times by questions on the company's climate change responsibilities, Reuters reported.
5. M&A - ESG Consulting: Professional services firm Ernst & Young (EY) has acquired Attalea Partners, a provider of ESG consulting services to private equity funds and investee companies. Financial terms were not disclosed.
6. Smart Building Management - Integrations: Bodhi's building management platform is now a Rako Integration Partner, able to manage and control the full line of Rako smart lighting and shading control systems in hotels, multi-residence developments, and commercial spaces, the companies said.
7. Regulations - Climate Change and Business Disclosures: The G20-backed International Sustainability Standards Board approved "global baseline" rules for firms disclosing how climate change affects their business, after calls to curb greenwashing in a "pivotal" year for climate reporting, Reuters reported.

9. Airbus Net-Zero Goals: Airbus has now received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its greenhouse gas emission reduction targets between now and the next five to 10 years, the company said.
10. Electric Vehicle Charging Stations: BP plans to invest $1 billion by 2030 into electric vehicle (EV) charge points across the United States. The effort includes fast charging infrastructure for Hertz car rental locations in major cities, such as Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Miami, New York City, Orlando, Phoenix, San Francisco and Washington, DC.
11. China - Climate Prediction System: China has launched a national wind and solar resources climate prediction model to enable provincial authorities to forecast energy demand and supply, the central government said, according to Reuters.
12. Taiwan - Net Zero - Strategy: Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen on February 15, 2023 signed a major climate change law that introduces a net-zero carbon target for 2050 and a carbon fee system for large emitters, a move that will make Taiwan a key player in Asia's climate policy, Reuters reported.
