April 2023: Sustainability Legislation, Lobbying
Oregon Data Center Legislation: Amazon helped quash a bill in Oregon that aimed to curb the carbon output of data centers and crypto mining facilities, CNBC reported. The company said the legislation failed to address gaps in infrastructure that are needed to bring more clean energy online, CNBC added.

Delivery Fleet and Electric Vehicles: Through a partnership with Rivian, the company expects to bring 100,000 electric delivery vehicles on the road by 2030. Amazon began rolling out its electric delivery vans in the summer of 2022 and now has more than 3,000 EVs on the road delivering packages to customers across the U.S.
Partnership - Australia: WSP and AWS are collaborating in Australia to assist governments and the private sector with developing digital twins for complex infrastructure such as transport assets, buildings, bridges, and ports, the two companies said.
Partnership - Carbon Footprint Measurement:Altruistiq and AWS are partnering to help businesses measure, manage, and reduce carbon emissions, the two technology companies said.
