1. IT Services: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered a five-year partnership with Tata Motors to accelerate the company’s sustainability efforts. The effort involves Prakriti -- a sustainability platform that can digitize ESG data, enable real-time monitoring, automate ESG compliance reporting, and deliver data-driven sustainability insights, the companies said.

2. Real Estate Software: The U.S. Green Building Council California (USGBC-CA) will offer California’s building owners and investors free access to Measurabl’s carbon accounting software, the organizations said.

3. Carbon Accounting Software: Alpha Nero, the UAE-based manufacturer and design specialist, has officially launched Leaf, a carbon accounting software platform.

4. Executive Leadership: TUI Group has promoted Melvin Mak to group director of sustainability and ESG. He reports to Thomas Ellerbeck, member of the group executive committee and chief sustainability officer at TUI Group.

6. Wind Farm Construction Standards: The Carbon Trust has launched Unison Project, which will develop a "standardized offshore wind data model to support safer, faster and more cost-effective construction of offshore wind farms," the organization said.

1. Financing: The Green Climate Fund has approved $3.26 billion in funding for climate projects in 2025, marking a record for the South Korea-based multilateral climate fund, Bloomberg reported.

2. Accelerator: 100x, a global impact initiative based at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), in October 2025 launched its latest search for the next generation of social unicorns —not billion-dollar companies but organizations whose models can positively impact a billion lives, the organization said. 2. Australia - Energy Transition Layoffs: AGL, a major energy producer, plans 300 layoffs amid the company's shift to cleaner energy production, Reuters reported. Related: All sustainability layoffs.

3. Jamaica Energy Grid: Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica as a Category 5 storm, causing blackouts over almost 80% of the country, Bloomberg reported. Jamaica's electricity grid remained highly vulnerable to extreme weather despite efforts to fortify it after Hurricane Beryl devastated the island's grid in 2024, the report noted.
