CSRD Compliance - IT Services and Software Partnership:Â Deloitte and Workiva have introduced four new software accelerators to help customers fulfill the European Union's (EU) Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The new accelerators provide organizations with tools to help enhance double materiality review, calculate financed emissions, conduct regulatory gap assessments and track related workflows, the companies said.
2. Amazon - Renewable Energy: Amazon is investing in three new utility-scale wind farms in Greece, as part of the company's largest renewable energy deal in the country to date, Amazon said.
3. Partnership - EV Equipment Recycling: XCharge North America and Grensol Group are partnering to explore recycling strategies for EV charging cables and modules. Grensol will tap  Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) to develop an industrial recycling solution for such equipment.Â
4. Air Quality Software: Google has unveiled Air View+, which displays real-time hyperlocal air quality information in Google Maps for users across India.
5. Layoffs - Electric Vehicles (EVs): Ford layoffs will impact almost 4,000 employees in Europe over the next three years, about 14% of its workforce in the region, as the carmaker faces slowing demand for electric vehicles and rising competition from China, CNN reported.

1. United States - Clean Hydrogen Funding: The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded up to $2.2 billion to centers on the Gulf Coast and in the Midwest to develop hydrogen, an emerging source of energy that is expensive to produce using renewable power, Reuters reported.
2. COP29 - Financing Debate: Division and discontent spilled into the open at COP29 on November 21, Reuters reported, sparked by a proposal for a new global finance deal that offered two vastly different options and left no one happy as the closing deadline neared.
3. COP29 - Tourism: More than 50 governments have signed a U.N. declaration to make tourism more climate friendly worldwide, Reuters reported.
4. Greece - Climate Finance: Greece will sign a deal with the European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB) to set up a fund that will help its tourism-reliant islands wean off fossil fuel and reduce power costs, Reuters reported.
5. Singapore - Sustainability Tools: The Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) has unveiled DigiLeap, a marketplace that matches sustainability projects to the right partners. SEAS developed DigiLeap with KPMG.
