August 22, 2024 by Joe Panettieri

Coforge has launched a sustainability-focused consulting service in partnership with Salesforce Net Zero Cloud. The relationship reinforces a small but growing community of consulting firms aligned with Salesforce's sustainability software platform.

The new consulting service, known as Coforge ENZO, will "help customers address decarbonization challenges and accurately measure and report on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions via sustainability consulting and diagnostic assessment services," the company said.

Salesforce Net Zero Cloud and Coforge: Deeper Partnership Details

Salesforce Net Zero Cloud allows customers to gather and manage ESG (environmental, social and governance) data across suppliers, partners and the overall value chain, Salesforce asserts.

Coforge, founded in 2004, is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The digital services and solutions provider, formerly known as NIIT Technologies, has roughly 23,000 employees. The business has grown both organically and through acquisitions -- including majority stakes in SLK Global Solutions and Signiti. Also, annual revenue was roughly US$1 billion in 2023, up 15.6% from 2022.

In a prepared statement about the new sustainability consulting services, Coforge CEO Sudhir Singh said: “Embarking on a sustainability journey for a business demands a multifaceted approach that includes meticulous tracking and reduction of emissions, insightful ESG analysis, and driving sustainable practices. Coforge ENZO combines the knowledge and expertise of Salesforce’s Net Zero Cloud with Coforge’s project execution expertise. We are excited to expand our work with Salesforce to empower businesses in achieving their Net Zero commitment."

We look forward to collaborating with Coforge to help companies accelerate their Net Zero journey."

Concluded John Speight, Coforge executive VP and customer success officer: "Responding to the growing urgency for businesses to meet Net Zero targets, Coforge has launched ENZO. We stand ready to assist organizations in meeting their Net Zero commitments while driving sustainable business value.”

Meanwhile, Salesforce continues to launch additional sustainability services for customers and partners. One example involves the Clean Energy Program Management for the Energy & Utilities Cloud. The new solution "streamlines the launch, management, and oversight of energy efficiency, conservation, electrification, and EV charging programs to help electric, gas, and water utilities increase customer participation in clean energy programs," Salesforce said.

Meanwhile, most public cloud providers -- including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud -- also offer carbon accounting software capabilities.
