Circular Computing will host Re: 2024 -- a sustainable IT conference for channel partners -- on April 23 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Attendees are welcome to have one-on-one meetings on April 24 and 25 as well.
This is an "invitation only event uniting the change makers building and delivering sustainable IT in the channel," the announcement noted.
The conference is designed for "Industry leaders charged with delivering sustainable IT in the ITAD, OEM, Distribution, Reseller, Managed Services and System Integration space," the event organizer said.
Microsoft, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Atos, Ingram Micro & TD Synnex -- among many other key technology companies -- are confirmed to attend, according to the event website.
Circular Computing: What the Re: Conference Will Cover
Circular Computing certainly has its own opinions and best-practices for sustainable IT products and services. But the event is designed to generate an open dialog with differing views and approaches to the market, according to Rod Neale, founder of Circular Computing.
In an online statement about the event, Neale wrote: "Leasing companies are figuring out if quality re-use is a way to dramatically disturb residual returns, ITAD's are working out where this places them in the new landscape of used product values, resellers are finding out what options they have from the OEM and open market, and system integrators are being asked to decarbonise IT by their biggest customers. So there are many questions and so many possible answers..."
Those discussions, and more, are welcome at the event, he noted.
Circular Computing provides remanufactured laptops from such PC makers as Dell, HP and Lenovo. The company, founded in 2017, is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.
