1. AI and Climate Action: Google and Boston Consulting Group have released a white paper, titled: Accelerating Climate Action with AI. Microsoft issued its own AI and sustainability playbook and white paper in mid-November 2023.
2. IT Decarbonization - Software Tools: The Climatiq Cloud Carbon Insights app has launched in the Cisco Observability Platform exchange. The software "enables users to accurately track and monitor their carbon footprint in real-time across various assets such as CPU, memory, and storage, regardless of the context—whether at the cluster, workload, or host level," Climatiq asserts.
3. HP Renew Services: Keep an eye on HP Renew solutions -- which include carbon neutral computing services, device recovery services, sanitization services, deinstallation services and recycling services.
4. Partnership - Engineering and ESG Software: Engineering services firm Quest Global has partnered with ESG software provider Treeni to advance Quest's commitment to sustainability and ESG, the companies said.
5. Partnership- Logistics and Climate Software: Nippon Express Europe GmbH (NX Europe), a logistics company, is partnering with climate tech startup Cozero to pursue its sustainability goals.
6. Partnership - CPA and ESG Software: Advisory CPA firm Baker Tilly is partnering with Sustain.Life and Sumday to offer emissions-reporting solutions for businesses of all sizes.
7. Data Centers - Hydrogen Power Generators: Hitachi Energy has unveiled HyFlex -- a Hydrogen-powered generator that "provides megawatts of power and heat for hard-to-decarbonize applications such as construction sites, remote venues, data centers, and hospitals." HyFlex is emission-free, producing only AC power, usable heat, and water. Hitachi Energy expects to launch a movable variant for temporary deployment in late 2024 and the permanently deployable variant in 2025. Pricing was not disclosed.
8. Research - Green Data Centers: The Latin America green data center market will reach $1.65 billion by 2028, which represents a 10.79% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2022, according to Arizton.
9. Research - Carbon Management Software Market Growth Forecast: The carbon management software market will reach $5.5 billion by 2032, which represents a 19.7% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2023, ABI Research forecasts. is projected to grow at a CAGR of 19.7%, reaching US$5.5 billion by 2032.
10. Financial Services - Energy Transition Team: Rabobank has hired multiple renewable energy team members to "help fuel the bank's broader growth and sustainability strategy in North America," the company said.
11. Partnership - ESG Analytics: ESG.AI, a Canadian based ESG decision support company, has partnered with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) to "deliver a next generation ESG analytics platform," the two organizations said.

1. Investments - Energy Efficient Shipping Fleets: Emerson, a global automation technology and software company, has invested in Frugal Technologies, a Danish-based company that offers fuel optimization technologies that reduce energy use and emissions in shipping fleets. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
