A. Sustainable Technology, Talent, Partnerships and Green IT Alliances
1. Research - IT Services: Over a third of IT decision makers in the UK will select IT suppliers in the next five years because of their green credentials, OVHcloud research found. Still, 45% of customers saw cost as a major barrier to becoming a greener business – and 31% of organizations were either unsure or knew that they wouldn’t meet their own sustainability targets in the next two years, OVHcloud reported.
2. Research - ESG Data Challenges: The leading ESG data management challenge in Europe involves handling constantly evolving and new data content (41%), a Bloomberg survey revealed.
. Data Centers: Vultr expanded its cloud data center region at Sabey Data Centers’ ​​SDC Columbia location. The expansion leverages NVIDIA HGX H100. Hydro energy powers customer workloads.
3. Data Centers: Microsoft has partnered with VEKS and HTF, using excess data center heat to warm 6,000 homes in Denmark, BNN reported.
4. Cloud Services Marketplace: Arrow continues to enhance the ArrowSphere digital distribution platform for channel partners. The cloud-based dashboard allows partners to quote, purchase, fulfill, deploy and manage "any combination of cloud, hardware, software, and professional services," Arrow asserted. The system includes carbon accounting-type capabilities.
5. Storage:Â ScaleFlux has introduced the CSD 3000 -- a Solid-State Drive (SSD) that integrates storage with computational capabilities to "significantly lower energy use and operational costs while supporting high-performance data processing," the company said.
6. Partner Hub: The Energy Efficiency Partner Hub from Incentive Rebate360 now includes Onics Energy Solutions. The newly formed partnership "amplifies the commitment to energy-efficient projects and rebate recovery solutions, offering organizations a gateway to a greener future while maximizing cost savings," the companies said.
7. Solar Power - Meta and Facebook: Meta Platforms, parent of Facebook, will purchase solar power from Arevon Energy and the Kelso Solar Project in Scott County, Missouri. The project will help support Meta's operations in the region with 100% renewable energy, the companies said.
8. Expansion - Solar Financing: Sunstone Credit, a commercial solar loan platform that helps businesses switch to clean energy, has opened a co-headquarters at Clipper Mill in Baltimore City. The company's primary headquarters is in New York City.
9. Headquarters: LiquidStack, which develops liquid cooling for data centers, announced a new U.S. manufacturing site and headquarters in Carrollton, Texas.Â
B. Sustainability M&A, Investments, Funding and Green IT Business Launches
1. Private Equity - Green Investments: Permira is putting together a dedicated investment team to focus on the transition to a low carbon economy, Reuters reported.
2. M&A -Private Equity and Environmental Services: Palatine has invested in Isle Utilities, a consultancy that develops emerging technologies in the water and environmental industries.
3. M&A - Wind Farms: Orsted has acquired full control of Sunrise Wind, which builds offshore wind farms in New York. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

C. Regional and Global Sustainability Policies and News
1. United Kingdom - Offshore Wind: The UK set a budget of just over £1 billion ($1.3 billion) for renewable energy -- with £800 million a year to support the next generation of offshore wind farms, Bloomberg reported. The total is three times bigger than any previous support packages, the report said.
