Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) expects to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 -- a decade faster than previously expected -- according to a 2022 statement. Juniper Networks, which HPE announced plans to acquire in early 2024, also has a 2040 net-zero goal.
The HPE journey toward net zero, led by Chief Sustainability Officer Monica Batchelder, involves multiple internal milestones along with new green IT tools and sustainable software developments for partners and customers.
In a prepared statement about the journey, HPE CEO Antonio Neri said in June 2023: “Sustainability is inextricably linked to every part of our business.
