Florida Energy Consulting Firm Launches ESG Service for SMB Clientele

Vista Consulting Group of Saint Augustine, Florida, has launched an ESG reporting and advisory service for small and midsize business clientele.

The launch comes at a key time for small businesses -- especially those based in Florida. Indeed, ESG consultancies often focus on large enterprises and government organizations -- leaving a gap in the SMB market. Moreover, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wants to cripple the ESG investing movement, CNBC reported in February 2023.

Amid that local backdrop, Vista Consulting Group -- which typically focuses on the utility and energy market -- is pressing forward with ESG advisory services. Those services, Vista asserts, will provide customers with a "'Top down' analysis and recommend the best and most cost-effective way for a company’s management to organize its assets and capabilities to maximize the overall value of its ESG arrangements while also controlling expenditures."

Among the ESG-related questions and that Vista Consulting Group plans to help customers answer:

• What undertakings will be necessary?
• How to organize staffing.
• Is specialized software required?
• Should outside ESG service vendors be used?
• What are the appropriate reporting and accounting options?
• At the end of the day what will it cost?
• How to demonstrate the company’s ESG intentions, accomplishments and results to customers, employees, suppliers and stakeholders.
• How to do all that and comply with the requirements, regulations, and societal expectations of maintaining sustainable business practices.

In a prepared statement about the new service, Vista Consulting Group CEO John N.
