Logicalis US, part of a global IT services business, has introduced Managed Digital Fabric Platform services -- which provide CIOs and customers with "the insights they need to improve both the environmental and business impact of their digital ecosystem," Logicalis US said.
Indeed, the IT services provide "real-time monitoring of power and capacity utilization to identify energy density and recommendations on how to measurably cut carbon emissions," according to the company. The result: CIOs and customers can identify energy density, and gain recommendations on how to measurably cut carbon emissions, Logicalis US said.
The metrics are benchmarked, so customers can see how they perform against similar organizations, and receive practical recommendations to improve performance, the company asserted.
Pricing for the services was not disclosed.
North American IT Service Providers: Lagging on Sustainability KPIs?
Generally speaking, Logicalis US appears to be ahead of IT services pack in the sustainability market. Indeed, 55% of North America partners and 48% of Latin America partners are not yet tracking sustainability KPIs (key performance indicators) for customers, according to Canalys research.
Clearly, Logicalis US is seeking to stand out from that pack. In a prepared statement about the IT services, Logicalis CEO Jon Groves (pictured, top of page) said: "For many IT leaders, trying to objectively assess the performance of an organization's digital ecosystem is a complex undertaking, which we have simplified with the Managed Digital Fabric Platform. We identified the five factors that matter most to IT leaders, from application performance to environmental impact. Users get a real-time view of how their tech suite is performing in one place, offering a new level of crucial visibility that will help enable decisions to improve business impact."
Logicalis ranks among the world's largest IT service and solutions providers. The company has annualized revenues of $1.7 billion, from operations in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, and Africa. Moreover, Logicalis has more than 7,000 technology architects who support more than 10,000 customers. The firm is a division of Datatec Limited, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, with revenues of over $4.6 billion.
