The key question: Where should technology partners, chief sustainability officers (CSOs), green IT service providers, carbon accountants, and ESG investors potentially focus their attention and travel budgets?
Here are 10 (actually, make that 26) sustainability-related conferences and in-person events to note for April 2024.
1. EnerCom Dallas 2024 (April 2-3, Dallas, Texas): This is an energy investment and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) conference.
2. Tantalus Users Conference 2024 (April 8-11, Fort Worth, Texas): Over 250 utilities from across the United States, Canada and Caribbean Basin will gather for this event. The conference theme is "the power of data."
3. Google Cloud Next 2024 Conference Dates (April 9-11, Las Vegas, Nevada): The conference typically focuses on Google Cloud and related AI (artificial intelligence) technologies. 4. Engage24 Conference Dates (April 9-11, Lisbon, Portugal): The event content will focs on the latest regulatory trends including PFAS restrictions and EU DPP regulations; sustainability and supply chain management best practices; insights from user forum workshops; and steps to future-proof the organization.
5. ReMade Circular Economy Tech Summit and Conference (April 10-11, Washington, D.C.): The conference attracted more than 300 attendees in 2023.
6. Green Media Summit 2024 Conference (April 11, New York)
7. Earth Charter Conference 2024 (April 12-14, Winter Park, Florida): The event is designed to "reimagine eduction for ecological civilizations."
8. BFA Sustainability Summit 2024 (April 7, Birmingham, United Kingdom): This is the British Footwear Association sustainability summit.
9. The World Future Energy Summit 2024 Conference Dates (April 16-18, UAE): The event is positioned as a "global think tank, powered by global innovation, pioneering minds and groundbreaking insights. Bringing together industry influencers, problem solvers and cutting-edge solutions, we’re focused on creating the blueprints for a sustainable future," according to conference organizers.
10. Apidays Singapore 2024 (April 17-18, Singapore): Apidays conferences feature a dedicated Green IO and Sustainability track. The track is led by Gael Duez of The Green IO Podcast.
