1. Small Business Loans: In a reversal, the U.S. federal government plans to heighten efforts to collect billions in unpaid COVID loans related to the PPP and EIDL programs, The Washington Post reported.
2. Warehouse Automation: Plug Power has installed an electrolyzer system at an Amazon fulfillment center in Aurora, Colorado. The install produces low-carbon hydrogen to fuel more than 225 hydrogen fuel cell-powered forklift trucks at the site, known as DEN8, the companies said.

1. Merger Guidelines: The Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice in mid-December 2023 released the 2023 merger guidelines.
2. M&A Activity Falls: M&A activity in 2023 was $2.9 trillion, down 17% from 2022, according to data from the London Stock Exchange Group, The Wall Street Journal reported.
3. M&A - Hydro Power: NexifRatch Energy Investments has acquired a hydro power plant with peak hour storage located in Lao Cai province, Vietnam, The Asset reported. The seller was Nam Tien Group. The buyer is a joint venture company owned 51% by Nexif Energy of Singapore and 49% by Ratch Group of Thailand, the report said.
