Diamond specialist SRK (Shree Ramkrishna Exports) has expanded Nirav Mandir's position from chief human capital officer to also include chief sustainability officer (CSO).
SRK, founded in 1964, is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The diamond exporter, backed by roughly 5,000 employees, has an annual production capacity of 720,000 carats, according to the company website. Annual revenue is more than US$1.8 billion.
SRK claims to be the first diamond crafting company in the world to commit to Science Based Target Initiatives (SBTi). That includes committing to achieve net zero at SRK's two diamond crafting buildings by 2024.
