1. Channel Chief- Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM): Modius has hired Copie Davis as VP of channel sales. Modius develops OpenData, a set of tools for managing mission critical infrastructure. Key capabilities include energy management and power management.
5. Partner Program:Redaptive, which develops Energy-as-a-Service and energy metering solutions, has launched an updated Partner Program for Channel and Alliance partners. Joel Ullmann, chief partnerships officer at Redaptive, is leading the effort.
6. Research - Sustainable Energy Management Market Growth Forecast: The global Sustainability Energy Management Software Market will reach $5.2 billion by 2034, up from $ 1.7 billion in 2024, according to a Fact.MR forecast. That's an 11.8% compound annual growth rate (CAGR), the company said.
7. Refurbished Tech Marketplace: Reebelo, an online marketplace for refurbished tech and lifestyle products, is seeking to grow even faster in Australia and New Zealand. The marketplace serves 300,000 customers worldwide. Reebelo has offices in Australia, the U.S., Singapore, New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong SAR and South Korea. Reebelo raised $50 million in Series A funding in March 2023. The round was led by Cathay Innovation (Global) with participation from Moore Strategic Ventures (USA), Gandel Invest (Australia), and Antler (Global) and also marks Reebelo's official launch in the United States.
B. Sustainability M&A, Investments, Funding and Green IT Business Launches
1. M&A - Power Equipment: Hitachi Energy has acquired COET, a designer and manufacturer of power equipment for electric mobility, rail, and industry, based in the greater Milan area of Italy. COET will operate as a standalone business under its existing management team and retain all of its operations. COET has roughly 80 employees. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Related: The Hitachi Energy User Conference 2024 is scheduled for May in Colorado.
2. M&A - Environmental Consulting:NV5 Global has acquired CHW Professional Consultants, a provider of engineering and infrastructure consulting services in Florida. CHW has 130 employees. NV5 has more than 100 offices nationwide. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
2. United States - New Jersey Offshore Wind Power: Several offshore wind developers will likely bid in New York's fourth offshore wind solicitation today, Reuters predicted. Potential bidders include units of European energy firms Orsted, Equinor and BP, the report said.
